After a afternoon of playing with his buddy, Vila, Tequila was put into his grassy paddock for a couple hours. When I
let him out at about 5:00 to bring him in the house he was limping badly on a back leg; it was twisted and dragging behind
him. I rushed him to the vet and she was afraid it was bone cancer as it was not a normal break (according to my vet). We
gave him major pain meds, brought him home to wait for xrays the next day and possible surgery. The xrays showed he had bone
cancer in his bone right above his knee and it had eaten into the bone, into the nerve and the tendon was not attached. Vet
was worried because it is an aggressive form of cancer that it had spread elsewhere. There was no repairing the leg. Amputation
was not an option as he was extremely muscular in his rear legs and she did not feel he would be able to get around because
of his size. I had to let him go as the pain was extreme and he couldn't even maneuver himself to go to the bathroom......he
was only a little over 5 years old. Rest in peace my beautiful boy......I love you!!!

Tequila attended the UKC Premier in Kalamazoo, Michigan and did get a Best of Breed on Sunday and a Group 3. He also did weightpulling
at the Premier and received a Total Dog....very proud of Tequila!!

Tequila received his Total Dog award at a UKC Show in Modesto March 17, 2006. Dog must obtain a conformation win with competition
and a qualifying score at a performance event. Tequila attended the Rarities Show in Dixon, California on December 9, 2006
and received a Group 1 for Working Group and his first Reserve Best in Show!!
